Hailing from France, head pastry chef at The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Guillaume Marchand is a true Ritz-Carlton veteran with almost ten years of luxury hospitality experience under his belt. His career with the company started in 2002 when he joined The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas in the Caribbean as chef de partie, soon to be promoted to assistant pastry chef at Hotel Arts Barcelona, where he spent three years studying Catalan gastronomy and perfecting his Spanish.
In the beginning of his career, chef Guillaume Marchand’s adventurous nature brought him on board a five star cruise liner, offering him a unique opportunity to travel the world while discovering new cultures and experimenting with new ingredients and techniques.
Prior to moving to Dubai, chef Guillaume Marchand was leading the pastry kitchen at The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota in Florida, where his creativity and knowledge of European cuisine led him to create top quality pastries and personalized amenities that never failed to impress the guests staying at the resort and dining at its restaurants. Guillaume is now leading the pastry department of the Westin Guangzhou in China.
